Memorial Day Plans for When You Don't Have Plans
Memorial Day is fast approaching and we cannot wait! A day off to enjoy good food, sunshine, and family -- all whilst remembering the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
While most of us have ideas of how we want to spend the last Monday in May, some of yall may not know what you are doing just quite yet! Don't worry, we have plans (and coordinating outfit inspos) ready for you to peruse!
You can spend your Memorial Day:
1. At a food truck park!
Some local faves with chill, family-friendly atmospheres are Deacon Baldy's, B-52, Conroe Lake House, and the Table at Madeley.
2. Having some Backyard Fun!
Make some good use of your backyard this Memorial Day playing some classic games like corn hole and ladder ball, while the kiddos splash around in the sprinkler and you enjoy a nice glass of wine! No one said staying home had to be boring!
3. On the Water!
Water bugs unite! We love a good lake day, especially being so close to Lake Conroe! Whether you're boating, fishing, laying by the pool, or floating the river, soak up the rays on your favorite body of water.
4. SHOPPING!
A telltale marker of Memorial Day's approach are the massive sales! Take advantage and go shop... especially at Ruthie Grace! A little spoiler alert -- both Ruthie Grace and Forged86 will be running some sweet deals, so if none of our previous suggestions struck your fancy, we recommend grabbing the hubby and hittin' the shops! ;)
